We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise
and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how
nature - trees, flowers, grass - grows in silence; see the
stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence...
We need silence to be able to touch souls.

Love this quote!

I am always amazed how profound the silence is on moonlit nights when the air is still and everything is quiet. Wonderful times to be alone with God!

yes, i love it outdoors in the silence. i live on a busy street and today there is no one around becauses of the holiday. eerily and gracefully quiet.
